The Villa Country Askifou
is a comfortable holiday home in a small village by the edge of the Askifou high plateau, approx. 745 meters above sea level.
With this villa, the landlord fulfilled a dream of his: An old building made from thick walls of boulders in the traditional style, was restored lovingly and equipped with modern conveniences.
It has an open fireplace, satellite color TV, central heating and a swimming pool.

The Askifou high plateau
is part of the eastern Lefka Ori, the "White Mountains", in the western part of the island of  Crete.
The word comes from the Turkish language and means "cup" which is true: The plateau is framed by mountains, and it's bottom is flat like the one of a cup.
The peaceful and fertile landscape is perfect for relaxing and enjoying extensive strolls.
