From Goni, manifold possibilites in West  Crete make up. Just for example:

- Hania and Rethymnon on the north coast (both have Venetian old towns)
- Frangocastello on the south coast with some superior sandy beaches
- The gravel beach of Illingas, with crystal clear water
- Hiking the Imbros gorge
- The deserted village of Aradena
- Hora Sfakion with it's fishing and ferry boat port
- Loutro, accessible by boat only - no cars, but the Marmara Beach and the caves on the shore
